Elden Ring is no longer the best-selling game of 2022 in the United States. Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has overtaken Elden Ring to become the overall “bestseller” so far for 2022, according to the NPD.
Modern Warfare II was the top-selling game in the US in October and November by dollar sales, and it’s now the “best-selling” game for 2022 year-to-date. The NPD did not clarify whether this “bestseller” designation referred to dollar sales, unit sales, or both. But NPD tells GameSpot that Modern Warfare II had a successful launch beyond what it originally modeled.
